About Dominion Repertory Theatre (DRT)
Founded in 2011, DRT is a not-for-profit theatre company based in Fort Erie, Ontario. Their first play "the Lion and the Eagle," was commissioned by the Fort Erie 1812 Bicentennial Committee in January of 2012, which kicked-off Fort Erie’s Bicentennial program. Their second play "Sparks from a Campfire" was written and directed by Canadian playwright Sharon Pollock and performed under the stars at Historic Old Fort Erie in the summer of 2012. Our mission is to provide quality theatre, dance, visual arts and music while providing education of the arts to students of any age and abilities in our community.

Brian Coatsworth- Artistic Director
Brian has acted in and directed more shows than anyone cares to remember, including himself. He was involved with Showboat Festival Theatre for ten seasons and Studio Arena Theatre for five seasons (he swears that it’s just a “coincidence” that both theatres are shut down! Hmmmmm?) He is currently the Artistic Director of DRT because of his dedication, his experience and frankly...nobody else was stupid enough to take the job. In his spare time, Brian has taken up knitting. Just last month, he obtained a truckload of steel wool and knit himself a new stove! With the next, he intends a matching fridge and dishwasher...and, perhaps, a small hat. Congratulations, Brian! He is very excited about “But We Said Please!"

Vince Marinaccio- Executive Director
The son of proud Italian parents, Vince’s first words were fondly remembered as “Hockey? Hockey! Where’s the theatre in this berg?" As a lifelong resident of Fort Erie, the theatre has always remained the constant throughout his life and career....after, of course, his lovely wife and two beautiful daughters! (there I said it. Ya happy?) More than thirty years with Garrison Little Theatre performing, directing, mopping floors, and 23 years teaching drama with twelve years at Fort Erie Secondary School and now with Greater Fort Erie Secondary School (yes the new school with the 500+ seat theatre called The Meridian Centre for the Arts), as Head of the Drama Program. As our Executive Director, Vince is famous for elevating the spirits of the company with phrases like “reach for the moon, if you don’t make it, you'll still be a star”, ”all you have to do is believe” and our personal favourite “What the.... is that going to cost us?”
